Save Public Tennis Courts

**** I am forwarding a request for your help as tennis players. Tennis Hub exists for this very thing. If you would like to spread the word or add anyone to our list please feel free.

There is a proposal by the pickleball group to convert one of only four tennis courts at Centennial Park in Paso Robles into pickleball courts.  As we all know, there in not an overabundance of public tennis courts in the north county.  Once a tennis court is removed it probably will never be replaced.   Right now there are more pickleball courts at Centennial Park than tennis courts.

The pickleball movement have a lot of people interested in playing right now.  I do believe they could use more courts but I do not think they should be allowed to take over existing sports facilities that are still being actively used.   They have a very active and interested group that could raise money to help the City build new pickleball courts, thus making the City’s recreation dollar go farther.

The four tennis court at Centennial Park make a nice tennis facility and have been used for decades with youth leagues, adult leagues, public play, tennis clinics, and tournaments.  The North County cannot afford to lose more public tennis courts

Please consider helping by sending emails against converting any of the tennis courts at Centennial Park for any other purpose to the following:
